Phil Oates: All power to Sandy and associates for following this up. I hope such pressure will continue to be maintained because I believe that a precedent has to be set, in order to hopefully deter similar outrageous actions by others in the future.
Phil Oates: Unless I'm reading too much between the lines, it also strikes me that much of the defence (sic) of those responsible rests upon the supposedly uncertain nature of the stone row and, hence, its potentially dubious archaeological significance. This in itself is a complete misnomer if only because the very nature and purpose of prehistoric stone rows IS dubious, in so far as we know very little about them. This is one of the very things that makes them so important and why each loss is tragic. CAT seem very keen to maintain that the stone row is of little or no historic/archaeological interest, which is quite evidently their only defence (sic) and one that has no basis in reality. This whole debacle smacks of mutual back-scratching and back-handers.

Some interesting feedback on our FaceBook page, which I said I'd copy here for Sandy to take a look at.
Re: Mynydd Y Betws feedback
I must set up a Facebook Account sometime, but to be honest I am already struggling to keep up with everything. Might be fun to do something about it as there are whole load of other people who have expressed surprise at my absence from FB.
