I enjoy finding ancient wells which often are adorned with Clooties left by visitors. Each has a story to tell, which I find interesting as to what people hoped for with their Clootie offering. Some people don't like Clooties but they certainly bring a place alive and bridge that gap between ancient and modern.

I visited Sancreed well back in the 90's and it's a favourite of mine.
