Signage at prehistoric sites

Nice idea, but you can be sure there would be at least one 'site guardian' who would think the proper place for such a sign would be attached to the stone itself!!
Or alternatively, some plonker would claim it was ok to climb 'that particular stone' because it didn't have a sign on it...
