Bank Holiday Plans

Post by AlanS » Sun May 25, 2014 1:06 pm

As regular readers will know, I often drive out on Bank Holiday weekends to take a look at various heritage attractions within an hour or so's drive from North London.

This weekend, I drove up to Buckinghamshire to take a look at the confluence of two major Neolithic tracks: the Icknield Way, and the Ridgeway. This was partially in planning for a series of posts I'm working on, but also to see how possible it is to closely follow these old tracks by modern car transport. I'll be writing up today's journey for the Journal over the next couple of days, so look out for it later this week.

Has anyone else been out, or is planning to go out on Monday, anywhere that would be relevant to the Journal? Let us know here, and I may be able to mention your' travels as part of my article...
