Hi Megas. Great photo! I take it you get out and about quite a bit? Where are you based?

Cheers. It's a quiet forum if you don't mind me saying.

From small acorns giant oaks grow. We have a reasonably lively twitter presence and a healthy readership of the Heritage Journal so a busy forum isn't that important to us. Feel free to start a few threads if you see anything of interest you'd like to share and discuss :)

Hi Megas, and welcome.

As Juamei says, we're small here on the forum itself, but active in many other ways, both socially online and in fostering relationships offline too. The public forum is a way of letting other people have a say, so please do raise anything of interest. The more the merrier! Do feel free to let us know a little about yourself and your interests.

Maybe we should shout about the forum a bit more?

It does seem to be a very socially orientated group. What sort of things do members (is that the correct terminology?) get up to?

We tend to meet up once, twice or thrice a year, annually at Avebury and then at various times and places as well. http://heritageaction.wordpress.com/megameets/
We'll be advertising the Avebury meet shortly and we're also discussing a possible mini-meet elsewhere before then.

Is there anything else going on other than the social part? Is the group involved in digs or conservation at all?

These days we've moved into online campaigning, awareness raising and advocacy through the Journal. We seem to have stumbled into a gap that needed filling judging by the number of followers we've gained in the past couple of years.
